Blog - Charity event in Tenterden

Posted: Tuesday 26th April 2016 By: Andrew Broughton | Read Time = 1 mins Views: 4371

I was at the Little Silver Country Hotel for a charity masquerade ball raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association on Saturday 16th April.

I'm used to being at the Little Silver for weddings, but this was the first time I was there for a charity fundraiser.

I was setup in the orangery to provide an evening party in the main part of the hotel to allow the meal to take place in the Kent Hall, where I would normally setup. I helped with the silent auction, all kindly donated by local businesses, before setting up.

The event was fundraising for Motor Neurone Disease, a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks the upper and lower motor neurones leading to a loss of mobility in the limbs and difficulty with speech, swalling and breathing.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and/or donated to this worthy cause, nearly £10,000 was raised!
