Blog - Wedding tips for your last dance to end your day in style

A year ago I re-visited my article on first dance ideas, and thought I would look at the other end of the evening - the last dance.

Tips for the last dance at a wedding

Choices for the last dance vary, as they do for first dances. However as a last dance can be either a slow song or a fast one it opens the possibilities even further.

My advice is always for the couple to choose first whether they want a slow or fast song to end on. And there's no right or wrong answer. A slow song can be a romantic ending to the wedding reception but equally a fast song can be perfect for ending on a high note (excuse the pun).

Popular choices for slow songs include the classic New York, New York by Frank Sinatra or Angels by Robbie Williams. For a more upbeat song options include Never Forget by Take That and Don't Stop Me Now by Queen.

For some songs you can even link the last dance to the first dance. One wedding had Heaven by Bryan Adams as the first song and then chose to play Heaven by DJ Sammy as the last dance.
