Blog - Wedding themes from 2018

Whenever I walk into a venue I'm always impressed by the variety of themes used at weddings. And 2018 was no different.

2018 wedding themes

It would be difficult to pick a favourite theme from 2018 so instead I'm going to mention a couple that caught my eye during the year.

I've always been a fan of playing with Lego and was delighted to see the efforts for one wedding with a Lego theme. The wedding cake joined the theme with a few characters carefully positioned to make a nice scene. And of course, what better toy for the kids on the table than a small Lego model to build.

The outside came inside on a couple of occasions at the Little Silver, both in different ways. On the first wedding, the hall had been draped in flowers, including the massive backdrop behind the top table and DJ booth. With a confetti cannon in use, the floor soon looked like it was covered in petals to add to the floral theme.

The second time Kent Hall had lovely lit up trees either side of my DJ booth, which really fitted with the autumn wedding theme and changed the feel of the venue to a more rustic one, which complimented the oak beams in Kent Hall.

And finally, the classic black and white theme. This timeless theme looks great and best kept simple for a classy look. I'm also a fan of this theme as it keeps it easy for me to match the theme.

Here's to an exciting range of themes through 2019!
