Traditionally after the first dance, the bride dances with her father and the groom with his mother. Here are my tips on the music if you're considering this.
Over the last few years I've had a few songs requested for the father and daughter dance that have worked really well. If there's a song that's special to you both, that's the song I would recommend you go with, if not here's a good selection to consider:
I find it best to leave a little gap once the first dance has finished to allow for a round of applause before announcing the second dance. Then we can either carry on with another slow dance for everyone to join you on the dancefloor or we go straight into the evening party with an upbeat song that I call the party starter.
